Infants family curriculum

Connection comes first. Follow your baby’s cues through short, responsive moments of talk, movement, and discovery.

What we’re helping your child practice

This home-learning curriculum offers practice across connected areas of development. It supports family involvement alongside your child’s classroom learning. Ask your teacher which experiences fit your child’s current interests and goals.

Language & connection

Respond to sounds and take turns vocalizing.

Discovery & problem-solving

Explore a safe object with eyes and hands.

Physical development

Reach, grasp, and move in ways suited to your baby’s stage.

Social & emotional growth

Build trust through predictable, responsive routines.

Play & attention

Notice familiar songs, faces, and repeated actions.

A full year of learning together

Nine four-week units give you a complete 36-week sequence. Each week has a focused experience to revisit in short, playful sessions. Open a unit to see the goal, materials, and activities.

An adult should supervise activities and choose materials appropriate to the child’s age and abilities. Keep small objects out of reach of young children. Offer seated, visual, spoken, signed, or hands-on participation as needed. Stop or take a break when your child signals they are finished.

A simple rhythm for each week

  • Explore: Introduce the activity and let your child look, listen, or try.
  • Practice: Return to it on another day with the same familiar materials.
  • Connect: Notice the same idea in a story, walk, conversation, or daily routine.
  • Share: Invite your child to show what they enjoyed, using their preferred way to communicate.

For younger babies, focus on your voice, face, and brief shared attention. As your baby grows, adapt activities for reaching, grasping, and supported exploration. Follow readiness rather than a calendar deadline.

Keep your teacher in the loop

Try sharing: “We explored ___, my child noticed ___, and I’d love to know what we can build on.” Ask about current classroom themes and ways to adapt an activity. These guides do not assess your child or replace their individual learning plan.
